Communication Studies Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary

Jefferson Community and Technical College’s Humanities Division has multiple openings to teach Hybrid, Online or on campus sections of COM 181: Basic Public Speaking and COM 252: Introduction to Interpersonal Communication at multiple Jefferson Campuses.

Job Duties:

The primary responsibilities of these positions are to teach courses, maintain some office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, maintain student grades and records, and utilization of Blackboard Learning Management System for communication and feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in the teaching discipline (preferred); or eighteen graduate hours in the teaching discipline and a Master’s degree required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates who have demonstrated the ability to incorporate multiple perspectives into post-secondary teaching and student engagement are encouraged to identify those experiences in the application materials.
