Commercial Sales Territory Manager - Western

OSW Equipment & Repair is seeking a Commercial Sales Territory Manager for its Western Region. This territory includes California and other designated western states. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and driving sales growth throughout the assigned territory.

Job Summary: The Commercial Sales Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and strengthening customer relationships throughout the California territory. This role partners with commercial customers and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) dealer sales teams to promote products, identify business opportunities, and support strategic territory growth initiatives.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining new and existing customers through company visits and contact calls. Push/Pull end user sales through dealer direct network.
• Presenting product information to increase and maintain sales.
• Training dealer sales staff on products, demonstrations, and dealer/prospect calls.
• Accurately completing estimates and developing customer sales programs when needed.
• Assisting with customer service including follow-up on customer complaints, troubleshooting, distributing product literature and prices changes.
• Completing dealer call reports, sales forecasting, and assisting with maintaining competitor files
• Demonstrating products and working trade shows
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 2 years of sales experience, vocational truck preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of truck equipment industry preferred (major competitors, their products, and knowledge of dealer forecasting).

Job Requirements:

• Ability to travel 75-80% of the time. Ability to train dealers and customers as needed.
• Technical knowledge preferred (in hydraulics, steel, various reports creation and calculations)
• Commercial Driver’s License desired.
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel frequently within assigned territory, including driving long distances and occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during customer visits, meetings, trade shows, and events.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to use a computer, tablet, smartphone, and other standard office equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry sales materials, product samples, displays, and marketing materials up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meeting platforms.
• Ability to work in various environments, including customer facilities, manufacturing locations, warehouses, and office settings.

Additional Job Information:

• Wage Expectations: $65K + Commission
• Pay: This is an exempt, salary position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
• Location: Remote, with expectations of traveling, and being able to travel on-site for company events
