Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

Raw Nutrition & BUM Energy is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager/Analyst to own the financial performance of our e-commerce and marketplace business, with a primary focus on Amazon, TikTok Shop, and other direct-to-consumer e-commerce channels. This role sits at the intersection of finance, e-commerce operations, and brand – owning the full P&L from net revenue down to gross margin, and acting as the financial gatekeeper for every promotion, discount, and marketplace fee that touches that P&L. This is a highly analytical, hands-on role for someone who wants true end-to-end ownership of channel profitability, not just a reporting function.

What you'll do

Net Revenue to Gross Margin Ownership

• Own the complete P&L waterfall – from gross sales through net revenue to gross margin – for Amazon, TikTok Shop, and all other e-commerce/marketplace channels.
• Build and maintain SKU- and channel-level COGS models (landed cost, freight/duties, co-packing, fulfillment, pick/pack/ship) to accurately estimate gross margin percentage (GM%) by channel, SKU, and bundle/offer.
• Partner with supply chain and procurement to keep COGS assumptions current as vendor costs, freight rates, and tariffs change, and quantify the margin impact of those changes before they hit the P&L.
• Maintain a standard bridge from gross sales to net revenue to gross margin so every channel and offer is measured on a consistent, apples-to-apples basis.

Promotional Calendar, Discounts & Pricing Governance

• Own the financial modeling of the promotional calendar across Amazon (Lightning Deals, Coupons, Prime Day/Big Deal Days, Subscribe & Save) and TikTok Shop (flash sales, campaign vouchers, creator/affiliate-driven promotions, GMV Max spend).
• Quantify the net revenue and margin impact of every discount, coupon, deal-funding request, and bundle offer before it goes live, and provide a clear go/no-go recommendation.
• Track promotional spend and discount depth against plan, and analyze post-promo performance (incrementality, margin dilution vs. volume/unit lift, halo effects).
• Partner with brand and growth marketing teams to build a shared promotional calendar view that ties every planned activation to its expected P&L impact.

Retailer & Marketplace Fee Management

• Build and maintain a fee assumption library covering Amazon referral fees, FBA fulfillment and storage fees, returns/refund processing, and TikTok Shop commission, ad spend, and affiliate/creator commission structures.
• Reconcile marketplace settlement/payout reports against modeled expectations, flagging fee-schedule changes, overcharges, or anomalies for follow-up.
• Monitor and forecast the impact of new or changing retailer fees (fee schedule updates, new program fees, chargebacks, storage limits) on channel profitability.

Forecasting, Reporting & Analysis

• Build and maintain rolling revenue, COGS, and gross margin forecasts by channel and SKU, and report variance to plan/forecast on a weekly and monthly cadence.
• Develop and maintain dashboards (Excel and/or BI tooling) that give real-time visibility into net revenue, GM%, promotional spend, and fee trends by channel.
• Support month-end close for e-commerce channels, including accruals for promotions, discounts, returns reserves, and marketplace fees.

Cross-Functional Business Partnership

• Act as the embedded finance partner to the E-Commerce, Amazon/Marketplace, and DTC teams, providing scenario and “what-if” modeling for pricing changes, promotions, and new SKU or bundle launches.
• Present channel performance, margin bridges, and recommendations to Finance and Commercial leadership.
• Identify and drive margin improvement opportunities across pricing, promotional strategy, fulfillment method, and fee optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
• 4–7+ years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or financial analysis, ideally within CPG, DTC, or e-commerce, with direct exposure to Amazon and/or TikTok Shop economics.
• Strong working knowledge of marketplace mechanics: Amazon Seller/Vendor Central fee structures and FBA, and TikTok Shop commission, ads, and affiliate/creator commerce models.
• Demonstrated ability to build detailed, SKU-level financial models from scratch (COGS, margin bridges, promo P&Ls) in advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort operating cross-functionally with Ecommerce, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, and Accounting teams.
• Self-starter who can manage competing priorities across multiple fast-moving channels.

Nice-To-Haves

• Experience in the supplement, beverage, or broader CPG/consumer products industry.
• Hands-on familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, TikTok Shop Seller Center, and analytics tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar.
• Prior experience managing or supporting a promotional calendar process in a marketplace environment.

• Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 per year; final salary offer based on experience and skillset.
