Job Details: Job Location: Anderson Hospital - Maryville, IL, Position Type: Full Time (72 Hours), Salary Range: $15.75 - $24.50Hourly, Job Shift: Nights, Job Category: Nursing Aide, Job Summary:  Performs basic duties of patient care to adult and geriatric populations, under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.  Performs various housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe, clean environment. Performance expectations are defined in the competency evaluation.

Job Responsibilities:

Admits/Discharges/Transfers patient and completes appropriate forms
Provides for patient hygiene
Provides for patients food and fluid needs
Assists with patient mobility
Vital signs
Maintains safe environment of care
Provides for appropriate pressure ulcer prevention
Completes documentation accurately and in a timely manner according to hospital policies and procedures
Provides age-appropriate and population specific patient care in a safe, skillful, accurate and efficient manner to primarily adult, and geriatrics populations as indicated
Supports patient’s rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural, ethical, and religious diversity.
Adheres to standard precautions and infection control standards.

Qualifications: Education Requirements and Other Requirements:

                Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent

               Certification/Licensure: Successful completion of approved Nurse Assistant course with certification by the State of Illinois

                BLS certification required

Experience Requirements:   Long term care, rehabilitation, and/or medical surgical care experience preferred
