Cloud Network Engineer IV

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Network Engineer IV based in United States.

This role is responsible for engineering, implementing, and supporting cloud and network infrastructure across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
You will translate cloud architecture and security designs into reliable, production-ready implementations with a strong focus on network infrastructure.
The position combines hands-on engineering, infrastructure as code, automation, observability, and operational support.
You will work extensively with AWS, network security technologies, CI/CD tooling, and modern infrastructure automation practices.
Collaboration with Cloud Architects, Security teams, Technical Leads, and business partners will be central to delivering scalable solutions.
The role also contributes to technical documentation, project estimation, troubleshooting, incident response, and continuous infrastructure improvement.
This is an opportunity for an experienced cloud engineer to make a direct impact within a collaborative, predominantly remote technical environment.

Accountabilities:

• Engineer, implement, maintain, and support multi-cloud and on-premises infrastructure, with a primary focus on cloud network environments.
• Translate system and functional requirements into secure, scalable infrastructure implementations based on established architecture and security designs.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and related automation tools.
• Develop and orchestrate cloud infrastructure builds using AWS CLI, GitLab, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including Palo Alto firewalls, F5 LTM, IPSec VPNs, dynamic routing, load balancing, network access controls, wireless infrastructure, and zone-based firewalls.
• Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and reporting solutions for network and cloud infrastructure.
• Write detailed technical specifications and documentation covering implementations, configurations, processes, and completed work.
• Identify gaps or ambiguities in requirements and communicate them to Technical Leads and Cloud Architects.
• Scope project timelines and resource requirements and collaborate with senior technical staff and business partners to validate estimates.
• Partner with Cloud Architects on testing strategies, troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of infrastructure issues.
• Monitor project activities through JIRA and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, daily stand-ups, and status meetings.
• Support escalated incidents and participate in required on-call responsibilities.
• Collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders in a predominantly remote working environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience with cloud implementations, infrastructure, and infrastructure as code.
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with F5 LTM and IPSec VPN technologies.
• Strong knowledge of dynamic routing, load balancing, network access controls, wireless networking, and zone-based firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Experience with AWS services and common cloud infrastructure patterns.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Comfortable working with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Ability to create clear, thorough technical documentation and communicate complex technical information effectively.
• Strong analytical, technical, process, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across technical teams and business functions.
• Experience partnering with Product and Business Management teams is preferred.
• Experience working in entrepreneurial or fast-paced environments is preferred.
• CCSP, AWS Cloud, F5, or Palo Alto certifications are a plus.
• Comfortable participating in on-call support and working within a remote, distributed team.
