Position Overview
The Cloud Network Engineer 2 supports the operation and administration of cloud network communications systems, including the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cloud network architectures and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Supports the operation of the cloud backbone for network communications systems.
- Provides specifications and detailed schematics for cloud network architectures.
- Administer, monitor, install, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of systems.
- Conducts testing of network design.
- Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software, virtual appliances, interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc.
- Understands how commodity cloud servers, operating systems and networks function, perform and scale.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
Certifications
- IAT-2 certification required.
- One or more cloud certifications required.
Clearance
- Active Secret clearance required.
