Clinician (Coach)

Status: Part-Time Hourly

Summary of Position: Clinician provides behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic services to individuals and families enrolled in the Shelby County Behavioral Health Program. This role supports participants in achieving improved mental health, recovery, and overall well-being.

Clinician provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic services to individuals and families enrolled in the Shelby County Behavioral Health Program. This position is responsible for completing behavioral health evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, delivering individual, family, and group psychotherapy, and coordinating services with internal and external providers. The Clinician monitors treatment outcomes, maintains compliance with clinical documentation standards, participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, and responds to crisis situations as appropriate. The role requires fostering a supportive therapeutic environment while helping participants achieve improved mental health, recovery, and overall functioning.

• Services may be provided in the participant’s home or appropriate community setting.
• The Clinician is responsible for accurately documenting services, attending weekly group and individual supervision, and communicating participant progress to supervisors, team members, and the referring authority. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Master's Degree required in mental health or related field.
• Registered Mental Health Counselor (**Supervision provided**)
• Master's Degree in human services, licensed Mental Health counselor, marital and family therapist or independent level social worker in the State of TN (Memphis) preferred. Valid license as temporary mental health counselor, temporary marital family therapist, or Master's level social worker accepted with proof of supervision contact with an approved supervisor license at an independent level. Must be in good standing with applicable licensure board.
• At least two years of experience providing services to persons with behavioral health disorders
• Strong communication and organizational skills 
• Bilingual (English/Spanish Speaking) is a plus. 
• Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) is a plus.
