Responsibilities

Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 9 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm, including a one hour lunch

Core Duties:

• The Psychologist will practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.• Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.• Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.• The Psychologist will provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.• Assist in rehabilitation of patients.• Will perform walk-in duties on a rotational schedule.• Will be required to perform psychological testing and necessary testing results.• The Psychologist will provide training to junior providers/enlisted upon request.• Seeking to improve the clinic by contributing to innovation and is expected to see evidence-based training/certificates for application of most up to date treatment modalities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:* Degree/Education: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological        Association or an internship/residency acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force.

* Experience: Must have 24 months full-time experience post-licensure in the last 36 months in the evaluation and treatment of adult patients mental and emotional disorders. * Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist.

* Life Support Certification: Possess current ARC or AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification. * Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

**Providers seeking clinical privileges through a DHA facility must have evidence of current clinical practice and must have actively practiced in their discipline within the past 2 years.  This documentation must include professional references and verified privilege lists.
