Clinical Project Research Manager (Central Site)

Job Description:

Lead UBC project teams to deliver project milestones at site level

Specific job duties:

• Oversee all aspects of project conduct from start-up through close-out for a site perspective
• Execute operational aspects of assigned project activities as well as special projects
• Manage projects per the scope of work and within the contracted budget
• Manage revenue and invoicing for project(s) for the central site
• Develop plans and processes to achieve contracted milestones, monitor project progress against the established plans and ensure compliance with plans
• Prepare project timelines and prepare or coordinate development of deliverables
• Prepare project meeting agendas and create minutes and action logs
• Ensure project budget is tracked against contract milestones 
• Serve as UBC primary contact with sponsor for the central site as well as point of escalation for the Central site team
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings for the central site
• Ensure project training occurs and assist with training for project, as assigned for the central site
• Present project information at bid defenses, client meetings and UBC monthly project review meetings for the central site 
• Maintain project documentation to be “audit ready” 
• Participate in sponsor/regulatory audits as required
• Help lead process improvement activities
• Establish, implement and track key metrics to report on progress of project and initiatives
• Coordinate and ensure maintenance of Electronic Investigator Site File as required

Supervisory Responsibility: 

• Study Coordinators / Sr Study Coordinators

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience 
• Experience of Clinical Project Management working at a research site / academic site
• Previous people management or relevant leadership experience 
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 
• Proven supervisory and team leadership capabilities 
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills 
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills 
• Ability to independently assess issues, mitigate risks, and make sound decisions using critical judgment 
• Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving 
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and related regulations 
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as required by the role
