About the Role:Visionary Construction Inc is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Cleaning Technician to join our team in Warren, MI. This is a great opportunity to be part of a hardworking crew that takes pride in delivering clean, safe, and well-maintained spaces. This position is located on the Detroit Arsenal military installation and you will be required to pass a background check. This position will be scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours a week but may range up to 30 hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

•      Vacuuming carpeted areas•      Sweeping and wet mopping concrete, tile, and linoleum floors•      Trash collection and recycling, including bagging and dumpster disposal•      Low and high dusting of surfaces, machinery, workbenches, and cabinets•      Glass and window cleaning•      General shop and equipment cleaning•      Display case maintenance•      Event cleaning and facility support services as assigned•      Reporting deficiencies or issues to the Site Lead•      Working carefully around specialized lab and testing equipment in R&D and system integration spaces
•      Must have a valid drivers license and may be required to drive to various buildings on the installation.

Required Qualifications

•      Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds•      Able to stand and remain on feet for extended periods during the shift•      Reliable personal transportation to and from the Detroit Arsenal site•      Comfortable using technology, including daily and weekly electronic sign-off sheets and basic scheduling tools•      Must be a United States citizen, per contract security requirements•      Able to pass a background investigation and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) or installation access badge•      Willing to comply with installation access, security, and Force Protection Condition procedures•      Willing to wear required protective eyewear and safety shoes when working in industrial shop areas•      Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a multi-person daily team

Preferred Qualifications

•      Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning experience•      Experience working on a government or military installation

Working Conditions

Work is performed on a secured military installation and requires compliance with all installation access and security procedures. Some areas include industrial shop floors with vehicle and equipment traffic, and laboratory spaces with sensitive testing equipment. All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided.
