Claims Support Assistant

Title: Claims Support Assistant

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Overview: As a Claim Processor Support, you will be responsible for reviewing incoming documents, entering appropriate information into computer, declaring events for an insurance carrier. You will review a variety of documentation to be entered and make notification of receipt to appropriate processor and/or adjuster. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to departments and leadership as needed 
• Respond to emails, phone calls, and general inquiries in a timely manner 
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion 
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of all documentation submitted 
• Associate documents with appropriate claims and review specific information
• Attach additional documentation from multiple systems when necessary
• Request documentation from other sources both internal and external partners
• Utilizing proprietary platforms to perform duties as required
• Review of tasks assigned for completion within the required due dates
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience 
• 1-3 years of experience in an administrative or support role 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize multiple platforms
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines 
• Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• High level of confidentiality and integrity
• Good communication skills, able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing
