What You'll Do

As a Claims Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for customers and business partners seeking assistance with disability, leave, life insurance, and claims-related inquiries.

Responsibilities Include:

• Answer incoming calls and emails from customers, employers, healthcare providers, and business partners.
• Assist with claim status inquiries, benefit information, required documentation, and next steps in the claims process.
• Accurately document customer interactions within internal systems.
• Research and resolve routine claim-related questions while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Support claim processing by reviewing information for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with Case Managers, Claims Specialists, and internal teams to address customer needs.
• Maintain service-level expectations and productivity goals.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Deliver empathetic, customer-focused support during sensitive situations.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of customer service, administrative support, call center, healthcare, insurance, or financial services experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and basic Excel.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously.
• Reliable internet connection and dedicated home workspace.

Preferred

• Insurance, disability, leave management, or claims experience.
• Healthcare or benefits administration experience.
• Experience in a high-volume call center environment.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Enfield, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
