BOOKKEEPER 

JOB SUMMARY
 The Bookkeeper is responsible for the efficient and timely preparation of general accounting and accounting clerical projects.  This position requires the utmost attention to detail, timeliness, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer service while adhering to the standards set by The Adam Corporation/Group (Company).  

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
• Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
• Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
• Maintains historical records by filing documents.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Qualifications

•  2+ years progressive bookkeeping experience or 4+ years of accounting/clerical experience
• Demonstrable broad US GAAP knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good communication skills using spoken and written words.
• Highly developed sense of urgency
• Strong system skills and proven business improvement skills
• Experience in a multi-entity setting
• Must be able to handle stress in a healthy and professional manner.
• Has an ability to learn new technologies as necessary.
