Yellowstone Club's Outdoor Pursuits Kids department is seeking candidates for Children's Snowsports Instructor. The purpose of the Children's Instructor is to provide ski instruction to young members ages 2 to 7 years old.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Explain and demonstrate technical ski concepts in a safe, fun, and professional manner using a variety of interactive teaching methods based off of age, learning style, and ability of the student within the guidelines of Yellowstone Club Snowsports School and PSIA.
- Set lesson plans based on Members and/or guests needs.
- Summarize with parents at the end of the lesson, to include reviewing skills worked on and progress made.
- Assist in cleaning of locker room area.
- Uphold the highest levels of guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditions.
- Ensure that students are matched to appropriate skier/snowboarding skill level and working with supervisors/managers to make appropriate changes when necessary.
Position Requirements:
- Strong Intermediate to Advanced Skier
- Currently enrolled High School or College Student
The position offered is a seasonal position located in Big Sky, Montana.
