Childcare Worker

Job Summary:This position provides childcare services for church services, Bible studies, events, and other activities as determined.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ·       Assist parents during sign-in and pick up (Colossians 4:6)·       Interact with the children and focus on their needs at all times·       Use planned curriculum and help children with their crafts (Proverbs 22:6)·       Remain in assigned room during your shift unless given permission from Team Lead/Coordinator       Accompany children to the playground or play areas and ensure rules are followed to prevent injuries.

       (I Peter 5: 2-3)·       Guide children to the restroom and wait outside, for younger children, if assistance is needed keep door cracked·       Serve snacks to children(Mark 10:45)·       Change diapers (only female workers) with gloves and wash hands after each child ·       Clean rooms, toys, furniture, vacuum floors, and empty trash at shift-end·       Assist volunteers in caring for the children (1 Peter 4:10)·       Attend all mandatory Childcare meetings and follow all CCM policies and childcare regulations·       Travel to other campuses for special events or services·       Other duties as assigned by supervisor (Colossians 3:23)  Job Skills and Competencies:·       Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and communications skills, especially with parents (Colossians 3:17)·       Ability to interact with children while managing the classroom (Ephesians 4:29b)
·       Ability to use or learn software programs for check-in process·       Dependable team-player who promotes unity and works well with people at all levels of the organization        (1 Thessalonians 5:11)·       Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook for email)·       Ability to multi-task, follow through on assignments, with good decision-making skills·       Willingness to participate in team-building projects and offer prayer when needed (Ephesians 4:16)·       Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and adaptability to change ·       Ability to lift 35 pounds  Other Qualifications:·       Calvary Chapel Melbourne must be your home church with regular attendance·       Keep the ministry in the forefront of all you do, with a servant heart and optimistic attitude       (Philippians 2:3)·       Conduct yourself in a manner that reinforces the core values and mission of Calvary Chapel and agree to our Statement of Faith·       Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings in coordination with direct supervisor ·       Demonstrate a mature, ongoing personal relationship with Jesus through spiritual and moral integrity ·       Strong commitment to the vision and mission of Calvary Chapel Melbourne (John 13:34-35)·       Fruit of the Spirit is consistently displayed in your life, as a reflection of God’s love to colleagues and visitors (Galatians 5:22-23)
