Child Watch – Saugus YMCA 

Position Hours Needed:  

• Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat: 8:15AM - 11:45AM 

• Tues: 4PM - 7PM

Additional hours available if interested in teaching youth enrichment classes such as arts and crafts, youth sports, music & movement, dance, etc. 

Essential Functions:  

• Responsible for working in the Child watch room during hours of operation.  
• Everyday duties could include planning crafts for older children, playing pretend with younger children, coloring, reading, etc.  
• Provides communication with parents/guardians about pertinent child watch room information.  
• Awareness and adherence to all program policies and procedures as outlined in employee handbook 
• Maintains program room and equipment. 
• Manages a clean room and toys on a weekly basis. 
• Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff trainings at the Saugus Y facility. 

Qualifications:  

• At least 16 years of age.  
• Childcare or Babysitting experience is preferred. 
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 3 months of hire. (Training provided if needed) 
• Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date. (Training provided)
