Pacific Market in Sebastopol is looking for a Checker Clerk to join the team!
About the Role:
As a Cashier, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience. Your role is critical in maintaining customer satisfaction by accurately processing transactions and handling payments with integrity. You will also contribute to the overall store environment by performing light janitorial duties and assisting with inventory management when necessary. Flexibility in scheduling will allow you to support the team during peak hours and special events. Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail customer service.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry heavy weights up to 50 pounds safely.
- Strong communication skills and a professional phone manner.

- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash register operations.

Responsibilities:
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems to process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.

- Assist with lifting and carrying heavy items as needed to support stock replenishment and store organization.
