Charge Nurse RN

Job Details: Job Location: Center at Tucson - TUCSON, AZ, Salary Range: $38.00 - $46.00Hourly, Job Shift: Day, The Center at Tucson is looking to hire a weekend Charge Nurse RN now!

Shift Availability: Part-time or full-time available. Weekends required, potential for additional days during the week for full time hours. 10-12 hour shifts anticipated.

Pay: $38-46/hour, dependent on experience.

Job Description: The primary purpose of the Charge Nurse is to provide direct nursing care to patients and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the nursing staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing staff in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines
Assist with admissions (i.e., inputting orders, taking report, etc.)
Address questions and concerns from patients and patient families
Assist with med pass and floor nursing as needed
Audits as assigned by nursing management

Qualifications: Education, licensure, certifications, and experience:

Must possess a current and valid fingerprint clearance card (FPCC).
Must possess a current and valid Registered Nurse license.
Must possess a current and valid CPR certification.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Must have at least one year experience as a licensed RN.

Other Job Requirements:

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to tactfully work with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements, and have the ability to maintain highly confidential information.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
