HireQuest Direct Staffing Agency is actively hiring Certified Traffic Control Flaggers for ongoing and upcoming projects throughout Washington and Oregon. If you're dependable, safety-focused, and looking for consistent opportunities, we'd love to have you on our team!
Position Details
- Position: Certified Traffic Control Flagger
- Location: Various job sites throughout Washington & Oregon
- Employment Type: Temporary / Project-Based with ongoing opportunities
- Schedule: Primarily day shifts (hours vary based on project needs)
- Pay: Starting at $22.50/hour (DOE and project dependent)

Responsibilities
- Safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through construction and work zones
- Protect workers, motorists, and the public by following traffic control procedures
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices as directed
- Communicate effectively with Traffic Control Supervisors (TCS), crews, and the public
- Maintain compliance with all state, customer, and company safety standards
- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately
Minimum Qualifications
✅ Current Washington and/or Oregon Flagger Certification (required)
✅ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
✅ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
✅ Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
✅ Dependable with reliable attendance and punctuality
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification is a plus
- Previous traffic control or construction experience
Transportation
Because job sites vary throughout Washington and Oregon and may be in remote locations, reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle are highly recommended.
