Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant-Part Time

 The Arc Madison Cortland is looking for a motivated individual to join our team! This is a Part Time opportunity, maximum 29.5 hours per week

SUMMARY: Provide services under the direct supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Certified occupational therapy assistant with appropriate NYS license/eligibility. Valid NYS driver’s license with approved driving history. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist in providing occupational therapy for individuals evaluated by the occupational therapist and in conjunction with OT treatment plan
• Follow the treatment plan established by the OT and approved by individual's physician
• Work in conjunction with the individual's physician and therapist in course of treatment.
• Educate/train ancillary staff members on treatment plan
• Completes all necessary documentation and billing forms on a daily basis as required.
• Provides therapy in functional, prevocational, vocational, homemaking skills, and activities of daily living.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Certified occupational therapy assistant with appropriate NYS license/eligibility. Valid NYS driver’s license with approved driving history.
