JFS at Home is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our growing home care team. We provide exceptional private-duty care built on integrity, compassion, social responsibility, and humanitarian values. What You'll Do
As a CNA, you will provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes while promoting independence, dignity, comfort, and safety.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients with personal care, bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Supporting clients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation
- Assisting with medication reminders as permitted by agency policy
- Accompanying clients to medical appointments, errands, and community outings
- Planning and preparing meals while monitoring nutritional needs
- Performing safe transfers, including the use of gait belts, wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts, and other mobility equipment as needed
- Providing companionship and meaningful engagement activities
- Completing light housekeeping and laundry related to client care
- Grocery shopping and running essential errands
- Observing and reporting changes in client condition, behavior, or environment
- Responding promptly to client needs and emergencies
- Accurately documenting care provided and client-related activities
- Following agency policies, care plans, and safety procedures
- Participating in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Florida CNA License in good standing
- Minimum one year of experience in home care, hospital, assisted living, or healthcare setting
- Current CEUs as required by the State of Florida
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Compassionate, patient, professional, and dependable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a client's home
- Ability to lift, transfer, or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation
- Current automobile insurance that includes Bodily Injury Liability coverage
- Experience with Hoyer lifts and safe transfer techniques preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and short shifts when needed
