Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned, performs a variety of direct patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient.

Department: Geri Psych - Seton 7 West
Schedule: Part Time
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Key Reponsibilities:
- Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly as well as accommodating a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse.
- Incorporates knowledge and understanding of our committment to patient rights, exceptional care and the hospital's values and mission into his/her perfomance of job duties.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- Certification/Licensure: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II." Software/Hardware: Computer experience is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess a minimum of one year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or be a matriculating student in a nursing program and have completed the "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II."
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Required:
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care.
- Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empethetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients.
Compensation Range:
$18.15- $26.97
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
