Certified Medication Aide Responsibilities

The Certified Medication Aide will:

Administer medications safely and accurately according to physician orders, facility policies, and applicable regulations
Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns appropriately
Document medication administration accurately and timely
Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
Monitor and respond to resident needs
Communicate effectively with nurses, residents, families, and other members of the care team
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Follow all medication administration procedures and facility policies
Protect resident privacy and confidentiality
Provide compassionate, respectful, person-centered care
