Responsibilities
- Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks.
- Assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts and assists with medical examinations.
- Assists doctors in examining and treating patients.
- Performs routine procedures under established protocols (to include but not limited to phlebotomy, EKG’s, dressing changes, wound cultures, IM injections).
- Maintains and stocks medicines and medical supplies as necessary.
- Practices safety, environmental and infection control methods.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program with a certification from NHA, AAMA, AMT, or NCCT
- Current CPR certificate
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
