The Role

The Centering Training Advisor (Trainer I) is a skilled facilitator who can apply those skills to teaching, training, and educating clinical care teams to effectively deliver the Centering model of group care. They are equally comfortable conducting training and workshops virtually and in person. They develop a strong understanding of the Centering model of care, provide sustainability support to a portfolio of existing Centering sites, and conduct Accreditation site visits

This is a full-time position. Proximity to an international airport is essential, as the position requires extensive travel. The Training Advisor I will travel for 1-2 weeks monthly to sites nationwide. The candidate must be willing to travel throughout the U.S. and be flexible to work on any day of the week. In addition, a valid driver’s is required at the time of employment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for the Training Advisor I role is $72,000-82,000, based on the qualifications and years of relevant experience the selected candidate brings.

 Key Responsibilities

Workshops and Training

• Deliver high-quality training experiences that build participant knowledge, confidence, and skills to effectively facilitate Centering groups and implement Centering care with fidelity.
• Utilize adult learning principles, facilitation best practices, and interactive teaching techniques to engage learners and promote meaningful skill development.
• Assess participant learning needs and provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to support successful application of training concepts in practice settings.
• Lead additional trainings, workshops, webinars, and educational events related to the Centering model, implementation strategies, and facilitation excellence.
• Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to continuously improve curriculum, training materials, and participant resources.
• Participate in training quality assurance efforts by evaluating training effectiveness, reviewing participant feedback, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development, piloting, and refinement of new training products, resources, and learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate training records, complete required reporting, and support organizational learning and evaluation activities.
• Represent the organization professionally while fostering an inclusive, engaging, and learner-centered training environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Sustainability Work

• Provide ongoing sustainability support to assigned sites through proactive outreach, consultation, coaching, and problem-solving to address programmatic needs and strengthen implementation outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to support engagement, retention, and continuous program improvement.
• Identify and leverage local, regional, and national opportunities for peer learning, networking, education, and collaboration that strengthen Centering programs.
• Monitor site progress, assess challenges and opportunities, and develop tailored recommendations to improve program performance, participant engagement, and model sustainability.
• Conduct accreditation and fidelity assessments through documentation review, data analysis, virtual consultations, and on-site visits to evaluate adherence to Centering standards and best practices.
• Prepare detailed assessment summaries, recommendations, and follow-up plans to support continuous quality improvement and accreditation readiness.
• Serve as a resource on Centering implementation, sustainability strategies, quality standards, and model fidelity.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and comprehensive documentation of client interactions, site activities, accreditation findings, and follow-up actions within organizational systems.
• Foster strong cross-functional communication and collaboration with internal departments to ensure coordinated support and a positive client experience.
• Analyze trends across assigned sites and share insights, challenges, and best practices that inform organizational strategy and program development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

From this position, there is potential to grow responsibilities and expertise as Centering Training Advisor II.

Reporting Structure and Key Relationships

This position reports directly to the Director of Training

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience delivering in-person and/or virtual trainings focused on skill development and participant engagement; facilitative training experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging, inclusive learning experiences for audiences with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective training methodologies.
• Experience working within healthcare systems, clinical environments, or healthcare-related organizations.
• Experience facilitating virtual learning using video conferencing platforms and online learning tools.
• Experience working with historically underserved, underrepresented, and economically marginalized communities, including individuals impacted by health disparities and barriers to care.
• Commitment to fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with the Centering model of care preferred.

Skills:

• Strong group facilitation and presentation skills, including the ability to engage diverse adult learners in both virtual and in-person settings.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Relationship-building and client management skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility with clinical and organizational leaders.
• Coaching and consultation skills that support behavior change, program implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client engagements simultaneously.
• Ability to assess program performance, identify challenges, and develop practical solutions.
• Proficiency with virtual training platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and other business applications.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.

Working Conditions 

The Training Advisor I works primarily in a remote environment with a standard full-time schedule, though occasional irregular hours may be required. This role values adaptability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Regular communication via Teams, Zoom, email, or similar tools is essential to maintain alignment and productivity. The position requires the ability to meet deadlines, deliver high-quality work independently, and use standard office equipment and technology. Occasional travel may be required for conferences, meetings, retreats, and other business-related events. Travel to various locations will be expected for delivery training, attending conferences, staff meetings and retreats, and any other relevant event at least twice per month.
