POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing responsive and professional shuttle service to all guests of Winter Park Resort and The Village at Winter Park.  Duties for this position include: driving guests to designated pick up/ drop off spots around the resort, maintaining vehicles’ fluid levels & maintaining the general appearance of the shuttles.  It is also an important responsibility of shuttle drivers to conduct vehicle inspections when necessary.

A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement is necessary for this role.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay range: $23.00-$25.00

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Shuttles guests around Winter Park Resort in a safe and friendly manner
• Greets guests upon arrival and addresses guest concerns
• Must be knowledgeable about the ski area, community, activities, directions, dinner recommendations, etc…
• Maintains the vehicle including: vacuum & cleaning interior, removes trash at the end of every shift, wash & fuel vehicle, checks fluid levels and alerts management when vehicle needs service
• Abides by the dress code, policies, and procedures maintained by Winter Park Resort
• Is responsible for the best possible service to the guest, while maintaining a safe environment for both guests and employees
• Communication with law enforcement and TOWP maintenance personnel
• Be in communication with First Transit shuttle drivers
• Other duties as assigned, including: assisting other departments, special projects, and miscellaneous duties

OTHER DUTIES:

• Assist guests and employees with directions and information in a friendly, professional manner.  Effectively handle first-line conflicts and problems.
• Operate resort vehicles.
• Assist grounds crew with general duties, snow removal, and sanding duties around assigned work area.
• Pick up litter and remove trash in parking lots, skier drop off, and transportation circle.
• Control special event and VIP parking areas during special events.
• Assist local police or sheriff’s office, security, and/or ski patrol with emergency evacuation and accident response.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have valid Colorado commercial driver’s license (required) and be insurable by the company’s auto insurance carrier (Class A/B with Passenger Endorsement).
• Ability to pass a driving background check
• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED desirable
• Experience in shuttle driving or hospitality desirable
• Must possess strong communication skills with the ability to interact in a positive manner with guests and employees
• Must be able to handle complaints and difficult customers in a polite and professional manner
• Must be able to sit in a bus for most of the day, with minimal breaks
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions in a variety of forms including written, oral, and diagram   
• Is honest and has the highest integrity
• Follows established policies and procedures
• Can handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment
• Responds promptly to customer needs and solicits customer feedback for improvement
• Outgoing & Friendly

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

• Most of workday will be spent in a heated shuttle driving guest around base area.

• Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions. 

• Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
