Position Summary:

The CBHI Referral and Triage Coordinator at River Valley Counseling Center (RVCC) is responsible for coordinating and managing the referral and intake process for our CBHI program, maintaining waitlists and client assignments, determining service eligibility and medical necessity, and ensuring the timely and accurate documentation of client information. This role includes regular communication with clients and families, including outreach and follow-up while clients await assignment to services as well as active participation in supervision, team meetings and quality improvement efforts while contributing to a collaborative, client-centered environment focused on delivering high-quality behavioral health services. Key Responsibilities:

• Process all referrals for CBHI services, including intake paperwork
• Maintain CBHI waitlist
• Manage Master list of clients on waitlist, and make assignments as needed
• Provide required phone check-in with all waitlisted clients until assigned
• Determine eligibility/medical necessity for the requested service.
• Update client charts to reflect new referrals for service, new staff assignments, waitlist and discharge status
• Help with monthly reporting to state and report client information to MABHA on monthly basis
• Prepare for and participate in supervision (1 hour per week for clinicians who are not independently licensed; 1 hour per month for those that are).

Qualifications:

Required:

• Experience assessing appropriate levels of care, including the ability to effectively manage, triage, and respond to crisis, safety, and risk concerns

• Experience navigating Wraparound services and the Children's Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) System of Care, including programs such as Intensive Care Coordination (ICC), In-Home Therapy (IHT), In-Home Behavioral Services (IHBS), Therapeutic Mentoring (TM), and related services.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. 

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or related mental health field.

• Experience with insurance verification and authorization processess.

Summary of Benefits:

• Salary Range: $55,000- $59,000 a year
• Remote Work available

Based on years of experience, level of education, specialty and licensure/certifications. Additional Compensation for advanced education for qualifying positions.
