Job Description:
Buddy's Custom Catering is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Catering Staff to join our relaxed and fun team. This position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment. We welcome applicants of all experience levels to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Caterers with food preparation and presentation for indoor and outdoor events.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance duties in the kitchen and event areas.
- Work independently or collaboratively as part of a team, depending on event requirements.
- Ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests during events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist others.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is a plus but not required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Attention to detail
- Motivated to take initiative
- Good communication and organization
- Excellent self-awareness and time management
- Friendly and positive attitude
- May be required to work nights and weekends
- Must have valid TN driver's license with a clean driving record
- May be required to obtain security clearance for some catering jobs (we will assist with that)
- The person in this position must be above the age of 21 due to equipment used.

The first store with the Buddy's name opened in 1972 at 5806 Kingston Pike in West Knoxville and has remained open at that location for over fifty years.
Today, Buddy’s has 19 locations and is poised for continued expansion. With a focus on top-quality ingredients, Buddy’s offers a menu suited for the most discerning bar-b-q palate. Our weekly specials, such as the regionally famous All-You-Can-Eat Ribs every Saturday, draw in locals and tourists alike. We are also known for our Tuesday dinner special, which features your choice of pork, pulled chicken, ham or turkey, choice of two sides, a beverage and hushpuppies—all starting at $7.49. The Buddy’s brand has been woven into the fabric of the East Tennessee dining scene by consistently offering a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere where guests can dine comfortably.
