The Good Table is a restaurant in the heart of Cape Elizabeth — a place to slow down, catch up, and eat something made with care. We serve Bard Coffee, pizzas made to order, and a rotating selection of pastries alongside grab-and-go options for when you're on the move.

Position Summary
We're looking for a friendly, fast-moving Part-time Cashier team member to be the face of our grab-and-go café. You'll keep the line moving, keep customers happy, and occasionally help run food to guests. If you thrive in a quick-service environment and love a great vibe, we want to hear from you.
This is a seasonal role starting in June and ending in October. Please note that exact dates may vary.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and process orders quickly and accurately at the register
Handle cash, card, and mobile payments; maintain an accurate drawer
Package grab-and-go items, bag orders, and ensure everything looks fresh and presentable
Run food to guests or hand off orders as needed — you're part of the whole operation
Restock display cases, shelves, and condiment stations throughout the shift
Pour and serve beer and wine
Keep your area clean, organized, and safe — before, during, and after your shift
Answer questions about menu items, allergens, and daily specials
Qualifications:
Friendly, upbeat attitude — customers notice
Comfortable on your feet for an entire shift
Reliable and punctual — your team counts on you
Able to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
Basic math and comfort handling payments
Previous café or food service experience is a plus — not required
