Our fast-paced local produce market and garden center has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for full-time and part-time cashiers who are self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals with strong customer service skills.
As a cashier associate for a family-owned business, you will play an important role in providing friendly customer service and maintaining customer loyalty.
- You will be responsible for operating point-of-sale cash registers with accuracy and efficiency while ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience.
- Accurately ring in sales using a scanner, touchscreen, and keyed in item codes
- Accurately create a variety of handwritten sales records including invoices and load tickets
- Assist customers with requests and inquiries
- Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy workstation and retail displays
- Become knowledgeable in the seasonal variety of goods and services offered and available

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional appearance
- Retail experience is desired
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to secure a Washington State Food Handlers Card
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition and subtraction.)
- Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 35# occasionally
- Capable of working in an environment of varying temperatures and humidity

Our seasonal retail store offers nursery and garden products, local farm-fresh produce, pumpkin patch and corn maze, and fresh cut Christmas trees. Our wholesale divisions consist of bulk/ bagged landscape material, and seasonal farm-fresh vegetables. We're proud to be one of the largest suppliers of bark and soil products in the Northwest. We grow over 40 varieties of vegetables on over 700 acres located in South King County. Most of what we harvest is wholesaled to local distributors, which eventually reaches your local grocery store and restaurant.
