The Checkout Gig

As a part-time Cashier in Burr Ridge, IL, you’re the friendly finish line for every shopping trip—keeping lines moving and customers smiling. You’ll ring up items accurately, process cash/card payments, answer quick questions, and keep your checkout area tidy and ready for the next rush.

Required skills and qualifications:
- Cashier/retail experience is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic math and comfort handling cash
- Able to stay sharp in a fast-paced setting
- Reliable, punctual, and positive
- Able to stand for the full shift and lift up to 30 lbs
- Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Your Shift Snapshot

You’ll clock in for your evening shift, get a quick lane check, and settle into the steady rhythm of the front end—hellos, small talk, and the occasional “Did you find everything?” When it gets busy, you’ll stay cool and keep the pace upbeat. Between waves, you’ll straighten your station, restock the little essentials, and swap quick updates with teammates so the night runs smoothly. You’ll wrap up by making sure your area is set for the next shift and head out knowing you helped end a lot of errands on a high note.
