Position Overview:

Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking a Part-Time Juvenile Probation Case Manager (1405) to deliver trauma-informed care, skills training, and recovery planning to youths (under 18) in Amarillo within Potter County. This role is ideal for human services graduates looking to gain direct clinical experience in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful trauma-informed care language.
• Work an intensive caseload for identified juveniles with behavioral health issues and involvement with the juvenile justice system.
• Assess, plan for treatment, work closely with TPC’s Child and Adolescent team to ensure appropriate behavioral health services are delivered, provide outreach and education to engage families, and take a family & person-centered approach to help identify strategies and objectives for treatment.
• Teach and role model skills that address community living, social, coping, problem solving, anger management, parenting, and self-control skills to families and youth.
• Organize, provide culturally competent care activities, and collaborate among all participants involved with the individual’s care.
• Provide direct, community-based care (approx. 50%+ of working time spent face-to-face or via phone in home/community settings working with the youth, family, and/or family support and treatment team).
• Train in evidence-based curriculum to help improve daily functioning and increase community tenure.
• Meet contract requirements for the TCOOMMI Juvenile Program.
• Adhere to TPC Business Code of Conduct and report concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised.

Qualifications & Credentials:

Education & Credentials (Required):

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related Human Services field (required for QMHP credentialing).
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
• At least 18 years of age.

Experience Level Tiering:

• Case Manager I ($40,809.60/yr): Entry Level – No experience required.
• Case Manager II ($43,305.60/yr): Minimum 1 year of behavioral health case management experience.
• Case Manager III ($46,009.60/yr): Minimum 2 years of behavioral health case management experience.
• Graduate-level coursework in a related field may substitute for up to 1 year of required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
• Degree in Social Work or Psychology.
