JOB SUMMARY
JOB SUMMARY:
Under immediate supervision performs preventative maintenance on carts and ensures carts are available for rental. Performs janitorial duties in clubhouse as directed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform preventative maintenance on carts such as changing flats, checking batteries for water and cleaning carts
- Maintain necessary records on maintenance performed.
- Clean carts following each use and make daily inspections of carts for damage.
- Drive carts to clubhouse for rental and return to cart garage for night storage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of basic electricity
- Knowledge of small engines
- Skill in communicating with other city employees and the public
- Skill in performing routine custodial duties
- Ability to follow specific oral instructions
- Ability to perform a variety of physical skills including, but not limited to, carrying, cleaning, kneeling, lifting, seeing and walking
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, golf cart, air compressor, hand tools, power tools and vacuum cleaner
- Ability to lift or exert forces equivalent to lifting up to 20 pounds; and to push/pull 25 pounds for 5 feet
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environment
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle Incumbent is exposed to mechanical, electrical, explosive, fume/odor, dust/mites, and chemical hazards.
Qualifying Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED, plus a minimum of six (6) months related experience
- Valid Texas Driver's License, Class C.
