Job Description
In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide
with Interim Healthcare of Scranton, PA
in Lackawanna County (Scranton, Clarks Summit, Jermyn, Scott Twp, etc.)
What to expect as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:
- Up to $18 per hour
- 1:1 Aide-to-client ratios
- Variety of hours offered weekdays and weekends; 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
- Health Insurance (maintain 30 hours per week), Weekly Pay, Direct Deposit, Referral Bonuses, a local team for continuous support
- Build your skills with online training and earn CEUs
What you will do as an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:
- Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
- Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
- Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
- Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
- Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
Requirements for the In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Six (6) months of personal care experience in a similar role
- CPR certification
- Valid PA driver’s license and transportation
- Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
