REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• First assist in CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy/lung resection cases
• Vein harvest and chest tube placement
• OR duties including surgical assisting
• Telemetry and ICU patient management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: Board Certified in relevant specialty
• Licenses: Active KY license or willingness to obtain
• DEA: Active DEA Certification
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience: Proficiency in Cardiothoracic surgery procedures
• Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice history, Epic EMR proficiency

Duties & Responsibilities

• First assist in Cardiothoracic surgeries including CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy/lung resection.
• Perform OR duties such as vein harvest, chest tube placement, and surgical assisting.
• Manage telemetry and ICU patients, providing post-operative care and monitoring.
• Take call duties 1-2 days per week and one weekend per month (Friday 7am to Monday 7am).
• Conduct inpatient rounds on weekends, covering procedures and surgery duties.
