• Inpatient, OR, and Call coverage
• Cases include: CABG, AVR, MVR, and Thoracotomies
• Weekend duties include inpatient rounds, procedures, and OR first assist

Schedule: 

• Monday-Friday, 7:00a-7:00p
• Friday 7:00a - Monday 7:00a
• Rotating night and weekend call

• 04/03-04/11
• 05/11-05/28

Patient
Population: Adult

EMR: EPIC

Credentialing: 90-110 days

Requirements:

• Active Kentucky licensure
• Board certification
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum
  1-year Cardiothoracic Surgery experience or equivalent

Job Responsibilities (Generalized):

• Conduct
  comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat
  a variety of medical conditions
• Develop
  and implement individualized treatment plans
• Order
  and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe
  medications and manage chronic conditions
• Provide
  patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Perform
  procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
• Collaborate
  with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure
  coordinated care
• Document
  patient care accurately and thoroughly

  with patients
• Proficiency
  in performing physical examinations and procedures
  relevant to their specialty

Requirements

Education:

• Master
  of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP
  specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology,
  pediatrics)
• Master
  of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree
  from an accredited program

Licenses
& Certifications:

• Active
  and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse
  (APRN) license in Kentucky
• National
  certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a
  recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of
  Nurse Practitioners [AANP])
• Active
  and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Kentucky
• National
  certification from the National Commission on
  Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Experience:

• While
  specific requirements may vary, most locum APP positions
  prefer candidates with at least one year of experience
  in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty
