The Greater Manchester Region has approximately 2,500 employees. It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. The Greater Manchester Region serves a region of 300,000 people in 19 towns.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of clerical support and other duties to assist the nursing staff in carrying out daily patient care activities. Monitors cardiac rhythms via telemetry monitors.   Prepare and maintains patient medical records.  Transcribes and expedites physician orders.  Functions as a Receptionist.  Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Will be required to pass an arrhythmia course or challenge exam during the new employee introductory orientation period.

COMPETENCIES:

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English and have basic computer skills.
• Must maintain competency required for area of assignment.
