As a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech I, you¿ll play a vital role in assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing Scrub or Monitor functions. You¿ll ensure patient safety, operate specialized equipment, and respond to cardiac emergencies. Your work directly supports the CCL team in delivering life-saving care, making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing Scrub or Monitor functions.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies in the CCL.
• Ensure patient safety by recognizing cardiac arrhythmias and responding according to emergency protocols.
• Operate external cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators as needed.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography, or equivalent academic program and experience).
• Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience, preferably in Cath Lab or Radiology, and/or registry eligible.
• Valid BCLS certification; ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensure or Certification in degree field.

Qualifications

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech I works as a member of the Cardiovascular Lab (CCL) team of medical professionals. Under the direct supervision, is responsible for assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing Scrub or Monitor functions. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment and supplies in the CCL. Responsible for patient safety in the CCL and must be able to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and respond according to emergency protocols, operate external cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator. 

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. 
• Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g. Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography, or equivalent academic program and experience.) 
• Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience preferably in Cath Lab or in Radiology and/or registry eligible. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: 

• Valid BCLS certification required/ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire. Licensure or Certification in degree field preferred. 
• Interpersonal and communication skills necessary in order to develop and maintain a wide variety of cooperative working relationships and convey information clearly and consistently through verbal and written medium. 
• Analytical ability necessary in order to determine best method of providing requested test based on the specifics of each individual case.
