The fabulous Lazy E Arena is looking for a Line Cook to join our Cantina kitchen team! This is a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant environment that hosts a variety of exciting events including roping, rodeos, barrel races, western sports, Arena-cross, and cheerleading competitions.
Qualifications: Responsibilities
Operate and manage a one-person kitchen efficiently and independently
Prep food prior to kitchen opening
Accurately read order tickets and prioritize preparation
Operate basic kitchen equipment, such as a flat top grill and fryer
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift
Complete end-of-shift cleaning duties
Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk (including stairs), stoop, and lift up to 30 lbs
Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods during events
The Lazy E Arena is located minutes north of Oklahoma City on the beautiful 300-acre Lazy E Ranch. It is the largest indoor arena in the world hosting many large rodeos.
The Lazy E is more than just a Western sports-event facility. Also part of the formula is the Lazy E Ranch and Training Center, and the arena itself has hosted many concerts, conventions, wedding receptions, bicycle racing, trade-shows, and dirt-bike racing for years. Inside the building, anyone interested in purchasing official merchandise from this Oklahoma icon can take a gander through Arena Outfitters, a retail store on the southwest corner of the building.
On the third floor, the Lazy E boasts the Roper’s Cantina, a suite that offers upscale services such as a full service bar, catering, and live post-event entertainment while giving the audience an unprecedented view of the action on the arena’s floor.
