Moody Bible Institute is seeking a part-time Campus Staff Nurse to join our Health & Wellness Center and provide high-quality, compassionate care to our student community.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will support the physical and overall well-being of students through direct clinical care, health education, preventive services, and collaboration with campus partners. As part of a holistic approach to student wellness, you will have the opportunity to build relationships, promote healthy practices, and help students access the resources they need to thrive.

What You’ll Do

As a Campus Staff Nurse, you will:

• Provide clinical nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up for acute and minor illnesses and injuries.
• Administer medications and immunizations, perform phlebotomy, and provide treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist with health screenings, physical examinations, and preventive care initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with legal and institutional standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and other Health & Wellness Center staff to coordinate student care.
• Assist with the annual State of Illinois Immunization Report by collecting and recording required data.
• Assess student needs and provide appropriate referrals to services such as triage, emergency care, counseling, and the Student Resource Center.
• Provide health education and coaching on topics including nutrition, stress management, prevention, and overall wellness.
• Follow infection-control practices and maintain clinic safety standards.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels for medications and clinical supplies.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Perform duties in accordance with applicable professional nursing standards, including the Illinois Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and graduation from an approved school of professional nursing in the United States.
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience. Experience in ambulatory care, student health, or community health is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including CPR and AED.
• Strong clinical assessment, judgment, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with young adults.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in an environment where priorities may shift or compete.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and standard office software and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

We would especially value candidates who bring:

• An interest in prevention strategies, data-informed wellness initiatives, and integrative health practices.
• Experience in a physician's office and/or college health setting.
• Experience with Medicat EMR software.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Work Environment

• This is a part-time, on-site position working three days per week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• No travel or remote work is expected for this position.
