Unit Description
Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack, owned and operated by Delaware North, features more than 1,500 video gaming machines and brings the thrill of live thoroughbred racing from April to November and year-round simulcast wagering on thoroughbred and harness racing from across the country. Finger Lakes presents various dining options including a large buffet.
Responsibilities
- Handle large sums of money, including validating tickets for guests, distributing cash to team members for jackpots and hand-pays, processing and verifying travelers' checks, approving and cashing checks, and cash advance services
- Maintain an accurate count of banks
- Perform regular cash buys to the Cage Supervisor
- Issue and redeem chips; process chip fills and credits
- Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Six months’ cash handling experience preferred; experience handling large amounts of money
- Excellent math skills, including addition and subtraction
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift or carry 30 pounds
- Exposure to secondhand smoke
