Cafeteria Associate, Part-time

Job Title:  Cafeteria Associate, Part-time (15 hrs./wk.)

Reports to: Principal

Location: St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School | Port Charlotte, FL

Classification: Hourly/Nonexempt 

Overview

This position is responsible for the clerical and physical duties that entail ensuring lunch is delivered to enrolled students in each grade, daily during the school year.

Job Responsibilities

• Process and verify daily student lunch orders by grade.
• Confirm counts and ensure hot meals are placed in the warmer.
• Assist in reconciling all received lunches for billing.
• Accept delivered lunches from satellite kitchen.
• Set up trays, utensils and lunches for three lunch periods.
• Ensure that all lunches are received by each student participating,
• Responsible for cleaning trays, counters, and cleanliness of the kitchen floor daily.
• Ensure all health and sanitation guidelines are in place as directed by the School and Parish.
• Assist in food preparation when needed.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required. 
• Servsafe certified and maintain certification.
• Basic knowledge of good nutrition and cleanliness standards.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. 
• Good communication skills both written and oral. 
• Must have positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
