Join our Food & Beverage team and help create exceptional dining experiences. As a Food Runner/Busser, you will play an important role in supporting seamless restaurant service by delivering food and beverage orders, maintaining clean and properly set tables, assisting servers, and ensuring guests receive attentive and efficient service throughout their dining experience.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:

The Food Runner/Busser supports the front-of-house team by ensuring food and beverage orders are delivered accurately and efficiently while maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the dining area. This position serves as an important link between the kitchen and front-of-house team, helping ensure orders are delivered promptly and according to established presentation standards.

Food Runner/Bussers work closely with Servers, Culinary, and other Food & Beverage team members to maintain an efficient flow of service. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to anticipate the needs of both guests and service team members.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and dependable team member who works well under pressure, maintains a clean and polished environment, and takes pride in supporting an exceptional guest experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• Deliver food and beverage orders promptly and accurately to the appropriate tables.

• Assist with expediting food orders and communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team.

• Assist Servers by running food and beverage orders, bussing and pre-bussing tables, filling water glasses, retrieving bread, and communicating guest needs to the appropriate Server.

• Set and pre-set tables according to established restaurant and hotel standards.

• Monitor tables throughout the dining experience and proactively assist with guest needs.

• Maintain specified levels of cleanliness throughout the dining area, including clearing dishes, cleaning tables, removing trash, and vacuuming as needed.

• Complete assigned side work duties accurately and within established timeframes.

• Maintain awareness of proper health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.

• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the service of food and beverage.

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

• Communicate openly and effectively with Servers, Culinary, and other Food & Beverage team members.

• Work cohesively with the team to maintain efficient service during high-volume periods.

• Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and a genuine desire to support an exceptional guest experience.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, equipment, and supplies.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support Food & Beverage operations.

What You Bring to the Team:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous restaurant, food service, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.

• Strong customer service skills with a team-oriented mindset.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established service standards.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities during busy service periods.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift, up to 8+ hours.

• Ability to lift and carry trays, food, beverage orders, dishes, and service items weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to push and pull carts and other equipment as required.

• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.

• Ability to safely carry food and beverage items throughout the dining area while navigating around guests, tables, chairs, and other service equipment.

• Ability to maintain manual dexterity for handling trays, dishes, serving equipment, and other service items.

• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced hospitality environment with varying levels of noise and activity.

• Ability to maintain the physical stamina necessary to provide efficient service throughout the shift.
