We are currently seeking a Business Writing Intern to support operations remotely.
The Cambridge Internship Program provides the intern an opportunity to learn from and network with industry professionals, gain real-world experience tackling challenges, and driving meaningful outcomes. Cambridge may benefit by developing future leaders in areas difficult to fill, closing skill gaps in the current workforce, and/or providing opportunities for existing employees to mentor/lead others.

The hourly pay range for this position is $17.75 to $20.00 per hour. Pay within this range will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

What You’ll Do
As a Business Writing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in business development and proposals within the defense contracting sector and communications writing practices; mentorship from industry professionals and exposure to real-world projects. 
Successful candidates will be motivated self-starters able to work with minimal direction as part of a technically diverse, geographically dispersed team. This role falls under Administration Clerk within our compensation framework.   This position reports to Director, Proposals.  You will:

• Compile and keep records of business transactions and office activities of establishment, and performs a variety of other administrative duties, utilizing knowledge of systems or procedures.
• Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
• Type agendas for meetings, manuscripts, letters, and other documents.
• Read and routes correspondence and initiates telecommunications.
• Collect information; copies, tabulates, and posts data; and prepares records and reports.

What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:
Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.

• Education & Experience:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in English, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field. 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Periods of prolonged sitting and/or standing, including desk-based computer work.
• Occasional extended work hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
• Communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders through verbal and written methods.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work under deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Interaction with others in dynamic environments, including situations requiring problem-solving and conflict resolution.
