POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant provides business operations and partner follow-up support for Cristo Rey San José's Corporate Work Study Program. This role ensures continuity in partner engagement, maintains pipeline momentum, and supports relationship-building activities while allowing leadership to focus on strategic priorities. This position is ideal for a CRSJ alumnus/alumna seeking meaningful professional experience in business operations, relationship management, and nonprofit development.
The position reports to the Business Development Manager.
This is a temporary position from mid-April 2026 through mid-September 2026.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Pipeline & Operations
- Track renewals and contract status to maintain pipeline momentum
- Maintain CRM accuracy and data integrity across systems (Salesforce, Finance, and other sales tracking channels)
- Manage follow-ups from partner conversations to ensure timely outreach
- Prepare meeting briefs and summaries for leadership
- Cross-check data between systems and flag risks or delays early.
- Engage in cold-calling, outreach, and prospecting for new Corporate Partners.
- Facilitate lead development with Cristo Rey Work Study Board Members, Ambassadors, and other Work Study champions.
Partner Communication Support
- Draft professional follow-up emails to partners
- Coordinate scheduling for partner meetings and calls
- Support introductory or renewal calls (with training and supervision)
- Ensure consistent communication cadence with work study partners
- Facilitate transitions from Corporate Work Business Development to Operations by coordinating planning conversations for the new school year with Relationship Managers.
- Support for larger or more complex corporate partnerships.
Engagement & Stewardship
- Send thank-you notes and acknowledgment communications to partners
- Support LinkedIn visibility, partner recognition efforts, and other marketing efforts.
- Assist with event communication follow-up
- Support relationship-building touchpoints that strengthen partner engagement, including events with Corporate Partners like Networking Day, Resume Roundup, Lunch & Learns, and CWSP Expo.
- Compile data reports for Corporate Partners, especially for end of year wrap-ups.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Currently enrolled in college or university or recent college graduate
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets)
- Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong organizational systems for tracking multiple workstreams
- Attention to detail in data entry and data management
- Comfort with outreach and partner-facing communication
Preferred
- CRSJ graduate preferred
- Experience with or ability to learn systems such as Salesforce or other CRM tools
- Previous internship or professional work experience
- Interest in nonprofit management, business development, or relationship management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 15-30 pounds on an as needed basis.

SALARY AND COMPENSATION
- This is a non-exempt position. Pay at an hourly rate between $25 -27 an hour based on previous experience and education.
- The role is for up to 10 hours per week
- This role is temporary, and part-time and therefore not eligible for benefits.
