This internship provides hands‑on experience supporting a major NASA contract and offers exposure to business operations that directly enable mission support activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Business Office with daily administrative tasks including document organization, filing, tracking spreadsheets, and data entry.
• Support HR and onboarding efforts for COSMOS team members, including record maintenance, employee communication, and coordination with business activities.
• Help schedule meetings, maintain calendars, coordinate logistics, and prepare materials for internal and cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel and business records in alignment with ASCEND and NASA requirements.
• Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, purchase order support, and basic financial documentation related to COSMOS contract operations.
• Contribute to process‑improvement projects, workflow standardization, and business office documentation updates.
• Provide customer service to employees, subcontractors, and partner organizations by responding to inquiries and directing requests appropriately.
• Prepare reports, presentations, summaries, and operational documents as needed.
• Perform additional duties to support COSMOS program operations and ASCEND business office needs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through.
• Willingness to learn and ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
• Interest in aerospace, government contracting, or public‑sector business operations is a plus.
