Business Development Representative — Channel Partnerships

VIDIZMO is an AI software company headquartered in Tysons, Virginia. We build Nexus, AI Intelligence Hub, AI Live Insight and Redactor, a product family that lets an organization search, analyze, redact and act on its unstructured data, where video, audio, images, documents and text are treated as equal first-class sources rather than one format with the rest bolted on. More than 100 customers run VIDIZMO in production across public safety and justice, government, healthcare, financial services, education, legal, manufacturing and energy, and much of that installed base runs on premises, in air-gapped environments, or in FedRAMP High environments through our hosting partners, on a CJIS Security Policy-aligned architecture.

We are an independent software vendor. We build and support the software, and the channel sells it, with qualified partners also installing, delivering and supporting deployments for their own clients. That model shapes almost every role here: the people we hire spend their time making partners and customers successful rather than pushing paper through a direct sales funnel.

We are growing our footprint in public sector and enterprise markets, and we are building out the partner and reseller network that will help drive that growth, particularly across public safety and government segments.

Role Summary

We are hiring a Business Development Representative to help us build and grow relationships with resellers and system integrators. You will play a front line role in identifying new partner opportunities, supporting active deals, and keeping our channel pipeline moving. This role suits someone with 2 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships who wants to build a career in strategic channel partnerships. We invest in developing our BDRs into more senior partnership roles as they grow with us.

What You Will Do

• Place outbound cold calls to prospects in the US market and open new conversations.
• Leverage AI-guided tools to prepare talking points, navigate objections, and keep each conversation natural and consistent with our brand voice — the tools support you, but the judgment is yours.
• Generate leads through LinkedIn outreach, targeted email campaigns, and CRM-driven prospecting.
• Qualify prospects, conduct initial discovery calls, and set up product demos and meetings for the sales team.
• Maintain consistent follow-up via phone and email to advance prospects through the sales funnel.
• Keep the CRM updated and accurate, with clear documentation of next steps.
• Consistently meet weekly and monthly targets for call volume, lead generation, and booked meetings.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Outstanding spoken English — clear, confident, and easily understood by prospects in the US.
• Two to three years of experience in sales, business development, cold calling, SDR work, or inside sales is highly valued.
• Willingness and availability to work during US night-shift hours (6 PM – 3 AM).
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to support live call preparation and execution.
• Practical experience with CRM and outreach platforms like HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoho, or Apollo is a plus.
• Stable, high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace for calls — required for all remote applicants regardless of location.
• Resilient, energetic attitude with comfort handling a high volume of outbound calls.
• Legal authorization to work in the applicant's region of employment.

Nice to Have

• Early relationships with resellers, system integrators, or technology vendors
• Interest or background in AI, video intelligence, or data analytics
• Basic familiarity with government procurement concepts like FedRAMP or StateRAMP

• Confident phone presence and active listening skills.
• Ability to turn an AI-generated talk track into a genuine, conversational exchange rather than reciting it word for word.
• Regular use of AI productivity tools — including platforms like Claude — to enhance call preparation, follow-up, and overall efficiency.
• Strong sense of ownership and self-motivation to hit lead-generation and closing goals independently.

Background and Security Requirements
