Company Overview
Realm builds AI for the mining industry. We integrate with existing mine infrastructure — cameras, SCADA systems, drones, and data repositories — to predict equipment failures, detect unsafe behaviors, and optimize operations. Our platform deploys intelligence in various ways to improve productivity and safety — monitoring PPE compliance via computer vision, optimizing froth flotation processes, analyzing longwall shearer performance, tracking MSHA citation patterns, and more.
Our founders started their careers at Palantir before going on to build Blend Labs (publicly traded fintech, founded as CTO) and Even (acquired by Walmart). Our leadership team brings experience from Uber, Metropolis, and other high-bar organizations. We're a small, senior team that ships daily to production mines.

The Role
As a BDR at Realm, you'll be the engine behind our sales pipeline. This is a high-volume, high-energy outbound role responsible for identifying and qualifying prospects across the mining and industrial sectors, and booking meetings for our sales team to close. You'll run the outbound motion from day one, and as you build product knowledge, sales-cycle experience, and a track record of results.
What You'll Do

Make ~150+ outbound cold calls per day, plus supporting email and LinkedIn touches, to prospects across target mining and industrial accounts

Qualify inbound and outbound leads against our ideal customer profile, uncovering pain points and budget/timeline fit

Book qualified meetings and hand off well-prepared opportunities to the sales team

Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the CRM — every call, note, and next step logged in real-time

Learn Realm's product, market, and sales process deeply enough to begin shadowing demos and discovery calls as you progress

Partner closely with the sales team to refine messaging, objection handling, and outbound playbooks based on what you're hearing in the field

As you build track record and product fluency, take on more full-cycle responsibility — running your own discovery calls and, eventually, demos — with a path toward a Junior Sales / Account Executive role
What We're Looking For
Must-Have

2–5 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, SDR/BDR, telesales, or a comparable high-volume, customer-facing role

Completed Bachelor's degree

Proven ability to sustain high call volume (150+ calls/day) with discipline and resilience

Track record of building personalized, researched outreach (not just working from a script) that resonates with prospects.

Strong verbal communication skills; confident and comfortable handling objections and rejection

Coachable and process-driven; eager to follow (and help improve) a repeatable outbound playbook

Organized, with strong CRM hygiene and pipeline-tracking habits

Hungry to grow into a full-cycle sales role over time
Nice-to-Have

Experience selling into industrial, mining, manufacturing, or other traditional “boots on the ground” industries

Familiarity with outbound tooling (Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo, ZoomInfo, or similar) and a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)

Some quota-carrying or closing experience, even if limited

Interest in AI, industrial technology, or mining/heavy industry
