Business Analyst - Employee Benefits

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to act as a strategic link between business stakeholders, data teams, technology partners, solution providers, and the wider BA practice. The initial focus of this role will be to support our US Employee Benefits business, helping to shape scalable processes, systems, and capabilities as the business continues to grow. This role requires a strong career BA who can operate with limited supervision, confidently engage with stakeholders at different levels, and bring structure, clarity, and momentum to complex initiatives.

While Employee Benefits experience would be advantageous, the emphasis is on strong business analysis capability, including requirements gathering, process design, prioritisation, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to support delivery across a wider transformation portfolio where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead workshops, interviews, playback sessions, and prototyping activities to elicit, validate, and refine business requirements.
• Analyse business problems, processes, data flows, user journeys, and operating models, translating them into clear and actionable requirements.
• Support the US Employee Benefits business as an initial focus area, while also contributing to wider portfolio initiatives across the BA practice where business demand requires.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology providers, product owners, delivery teams, and solution partners to shape practical, scalable solutions.
• Lead prioritisation discussions, helping stakeholders make informed trade-offs based on business value, risk, complexity, and delivery impact.
• Document current-state and future-state processes aligned to the Target Operating Model, with a focus on scalability, control, efficiency, and adoption.
• Act as a key liaison between business users and delivery teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood, challenged where appropriate, and accurately implemented.
• Support user readiness and change adoption by contributing to training, communications, process guidance, and operational handover.
• Work as part of the wider BA practice, sharing good practice, supporting consistency of standards, and contributing to improved BA capability across the portfolio.
• Bring a proactive, consultative mindset, challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping shape modern, technology-enabled business outcomes.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven background as a Business Analyst, with strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, process design, stakeholder engagement, and delivery support.
• Able to operate independently with limited supervision, bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous or fast-moving environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, resolve conflicting priorities, and drive alignment.
• Experience supporting technology, data, operational, or digital transformation initiatives, ideally within insurance, broking, financial services, consulting, or another complex regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of BA tools and techniques, including process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, gap analysis, prioritisation, and requirements traceability.
• Comfortable working across multiple initiatives or business areas as demand changes.
• Employee Benefits, Health & Benefits, or insurance broking experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear delivery artefacts and explain complex topics in a simple, structured way.
• Commercially aware, pragmatic, and delivery-focused, with the ability to balance business value, user needs, risk, and implementation complexity.
• Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to contribute to the wider BA community and support consistent BA standards across the portfolio.
