Bus Driver Commercial Drivers License

Job Details: Job Location: Statesville Family YMCA - Statesville, NC, Position Type: Seasonal, Salary Range: $16.00 - $16.00Hourly, Job Shift: Variable, Do you have a CDL? Are you interested in seasonal part-time work with the YMCA? If so, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is looking for you. We are in search of a dependable bus driver for our Before and Afterschool Program. The ideal candidate will have open availability and be flexible with their schedule. Traditional Hours are 7:00am-9:00am OR Afterschool: 2:00-6:00 pm Monday-Friday. Some Nights and Weekends may be required. 
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Current CDL (required)
Pass a CDL Road test (required)
Pass a NC criminal record check/background check
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Enjoys people and ensures safety first
Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen administration or obtain certification within 60 days of hire
Ability to be flexible with scheduling
Other YMCA-required training and certifications, as applicable

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to work in excess of a 20-hour week Before School: 7:00am-9:00am OR Afterschool: 2:00-6:00 pm Monday-Friday
Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time.
Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time.
Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.
Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
Ability to apply proactive team management techniques and employ conflict resolution with team as needed.
Must be available for Out of School Days (Days when school is closed and we have full day care at the Branch).
